Guilt much?

I was looking through some war-time posters and this one caught my eye:I mean, I’m not a real WAR fan, but if I saw this sign it might at least tempt me to enlist. But then I would think about life and how much I enjoy it and change my mind. What about you? What would tempt you to enlist for a war? A million dollars? Endless chocolate? I want to know.

Nothing could tempt me to enlist! Only if the enemy was marching at the Simpsonville City Line would I take up arms.
Then….. they would have a heck of a fight down on Bonwood Avenue.

I’d enlist for this: if the only weapons we shot were marshmallow guns.
Yea, that’s it. I’d enlist for that.

I would enlist if God called me to. I would go with great sadness and joy in my life. I would remember that I am here to glorify God and serve others as if I were serving Christ. We enjoy the freedoms that we have because of young men and women who freely submit themselves to our government’s authority (if they agree why they are fighting or not.) These men and women understand on a far greater scale than I that it is not about them, its about others. It sickens me to think that there are young people who do not understand commitment, sacrifice and service. It’s not about you for crying out loud!!!

Side note…. guns don’t kill people, people kill people.

God kills people too…

also…

We need to remember that God is Love. Love is NOT God. Ponder that one…We have turned the idea of Victorian nicety into what love is, last I checked God defines love, not us. So think about that next time you run off and tell someone that something is “not loving them”
