I went to Barnes and Noble last night during my lunch break. It is always a great escape from the Starbucks.  I can go in there and sit down, read a book, draw, look at magazines and not have to pay for anything.

However, as I was walking around I noticed a man staring at me. When I saw it, I turned and hid behind some book shelves acting as if I didn’t see him.  As I peeked my eyes around the corner of the book shelf, there he was STARING ME DOWN.  I tried to act cool and be like, “how do you do?” and he just responded with a tip of the hat.  Trying to brush off this very strange exchange, I went to the kids section.  Ah, home.  I picked up some kids books and was flipping through then over the top of my book, THERE HE WAS! He was across the store a good ways but he was STARING AT ME!  I mean, I recognize that I am a fine looking man, but either make a pass or keep your eyes to yourself.

For me, when people are staring at me for no reason it drives me crazy.  What drives you crazy?

Back by popular demand, here I am posting on my ol’ fashioned weblog.  I haven’t had much time with work and playing around with my other project TruthBombs&BrainGrapes.

Earlier today I was hanging out and I realized that there were things I wished were different about me.  So I decided that I would make a little list of these things:

I wish…

• I could draw better
• I wasn’t so intimidated by women
• I could lose some weight.
• I didn’t listen to so much borderline homosexual music such as Jonas Brothers, High School Musical, Legally Blonde, Katy Perry
• I would have gotten my degree in something different
• I didn’t have to go to work at Starbucks tomorrow
• I was more in love with Jesus
• I was a little bit cleaner
• I didn’t have this desire to be important to people
• I had a better singing voice
• I could be the best graphic designer/illustrator this world has ever seen
• I had a more fashionable closet

Those are just a few things that were on my list.  What’s on your list?  I want to hear about it.  Feel free to post annonymously if it is serious.  I’m excited to hear what you all wish would be different.

So I’ve decide I’m going to change things up.  As of right now, I spend the majority of time writing about my own life on this blog.  I’ve come to the conclusion that while this is good and informative, I need to offer something more.  That being said, I’m going to focus my energy and resources to posting more about creativity, brainstorming, culture, trends, and innovation.  I know I haven’t accomplished much in my lifetime, but I do spend an incredible amount of time watching and listening to people and the way they respond.

This is the reason for my previous post.  I am going to use it as the base of my next few researches.  If you would like,  anything else you would like to know is welcome.  Just ask.

Riddle me this: If you were able to ask a highly creative person anything, what would you ask them?

So it is now 5:34 in the morning and I’m still awake. You may be saying to yourself, “Why is Beau still awake?” Well I’ll tell you.

I usually like to fall asleep with something playing, i.e. Scrubs, the Office, etc. Tonight, I decided to find something on the internet to watch whilst falling asleep. Two and a half hours later I had finished watching Legally Blonde: The Musical. But this is only the beginning.

Earlier today, me and Jay had a conversation about Jewel and Sarah McLaughlin. We talked about how we loved some of their songs. Also, we danced to The Safety Dance. I need a counselor.

Finally, Jay is moving out. The whole time Jay was telling me about the plans, all I could think to myself was, “Man I would feel so much more secure about this situation if only I had carpet in this room.”

What? Someone please tell me what’s happening to me. (And no, my attraction to men has not increased so don’t think you’re funny.)

Riddle me this: Who is our (God, christians, etc.) great “enemy”?  Is it sin or satan? Why?

I want to hear from all of you including these people: Dustin, Lee, Matt, Bailey, Los,  Klash, Dino, Chris, Luda Chris, Jay, Sammy, Pudding, Nic, Perry, Pastor, and Walt.

Once again it is 4:18 in the morning and I can’t sleep.  I have so much on my mind, but I have no outlet right now.  Normally, I could just use my computer and release any extra creativity I have.  The problem is, these days I leave my computer at the office so I can leave my work there.  Ironic I know, because I have ideas coming from all over the place but no computer here has Photoshop or Illustrator.  How lame is that…

Help me out, what can help go to sleep?  Do you have some remedy or something…I want to hear them.  Especially you, Jamison.  I know you’re out there with some wisdom.

When I think about the Church, I can’t help but visualize a more diverse group of people in the world. Here’s why…

“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, healing, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?” 1 Corinthians 12:27-31

I love the idea that God has called us all to serve in such various ways, but through our personality and gifted differences there is something that we all share in common.

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing…Love NEVER ENDS!” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 & 6

Other translations say, “Love never fails!” Paul goes on to say that these gifts that we have given will one day pass away, but Love will never end.
