“Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you? You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts” 2 Corinthians 3:1-3
When I got to my desk today I was thinking about this passage. I started to think about how the world views the church me. Sometimes I think I walk around casting this beacon of light into the world, but how true is that?
I know it’s not much, but here’s something for you to think about:
In a recommendation letter, how many people (Christian or not) would note that you “had been with Jesus”?

first off - that is a lot to think about. by no means do i want to be so wrapped up with what people are thinking about me - but it helps me keep things in perspective when i think about “do people know that i have been with Jesus.”
good post - and the real answer is they’ll know we’re christians by our t-shirts.
